ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Festival ART&DESIGN 2023 is the premiere event that sums up the year-long project "Design in Process" - a series exhibitions, workshop conferences and scientific conferences and educational workshops
The festival summarizes creative and design from various fields, relized by professionals and young creators, designers, including also activities of experts from business sectors. The main exhibitions of the festival are competitive and curatorial in nature, and are the result of more than a year of cooperation between the Academic Design Center and art schools as well as the community of independent artists/characters. The nationwide premiere exhibitions "Matter of Elements" as well as the exhibition of prototypes of Creative Concepts under the supervision of the Jury summarize the processes, research and aesthetics of creation undertaking innovative aesthetic solutions. The effect of these two shows will be the participation of the authors of the works in further international exhibitions and funding for the realization of selected creative concepts with their premiere exhibition.
The “40*40” international exhibition, a distinguished event in the design industry, will be showcased in Poland for the first time as part of the ART&DESIGN 2023 Festival. This exhibition is the result of a collaborative effort between the Academic Design Center and the esteemed organizers of the A’ Design Award and Competition, Dr. Onur Cobanli and Maryam Karbalaei. The exhibition has been specifically curated for this festival, marking a significant milestone in the event’s history.
The festival's accompanying program includes exhibitions of the youngest generation, educational and workshop activities for adult children and young people, and meetings with authors of works.ART&DESIGN 2023 is a festival that will host nearly 100 creators of art and design culture for more than two months.
This year's festival's slogan is NO_MATTERS.
The question of building the world, which lies in the hands of art and design, is also a desire to look not only at the structure of a vast place to live, but also the place that is closest to us, the locals of Lodz.
